My designs for Po-Zu Posted on November 2nd
Sometimes you do things that you are very proud of. The shoes I designed for Po-Zu is one of them.
I collaborated in designing the Autumn winter 2008-09 Po-Zu shoe collection. Po-Zu is a truly sustainable footwear brands. I met Sven Segal (the owner and head designer of the brand) at my final collection show at Cordwainers. He became interested in the use of some of the new sustainable materials that I was proposing for footwear (especially Bark cloth) and accessories and our collaboration was born.
I admire Sven for his design philosophy of simplicity but still creating a feeling of a luxury product, and for his research process before the designing of the collection.
